1871 - Crossbeck Boarding House: Advertised by Miss Wilkinson, ex manager at Troutbeck, however by 1876 Crossbeck House was The Collegiate School being run by Mr William Watson
1880 - Queens Road Hydro: Dr. Spence and others considered but failed to establish a Hydro when Ilkley College closed (see Blue plaque no. 13)
1884 - Poplar Grove, bottom Tivoli Place: Priscilla Lister ran as a superior lodging house, calling it a Hydro in 1884.
1882 - Hebers Ghyll: The object of the Heber's Ghyll Hydropathic Company Ilkley was to purchase freehold estate and building land in the Grove Road at Ilkley and erect a building suitable for a hydro with Turkish, swimming and other baths, public rooms, gardens and grounds, offices and stables. It did not materialise and after a couple of months the plans were announced for tenders for a Villa, actually built in 1885. The Hebers Ghyll Hydropathic Company was wound up in August 1886 - It became Ghyll Royd School in 1889.
